We search online.

We wonder what everyone else would do.

We keep hoping someone else will give us the answer we've been afraid to trust ourselves to make.

Not because we're incapable.

Because somewhere along the way, we stopped trusting our own voice.

The good news is that self trust can be rebuilt.

It starts by learning to pause long enough to hear yourself again.


Why We Stop Trusting Our Voice

Trusting yourself isn't always easy, especially if you've experienced addiction, trauma, or years of putting everyone else's needs before your own.

Over time, your brain learns that making the wrong decision feels risky.

Your nervous system begins looking for certainty, reassurance, and approval before you act.

The problem is that certainty rarely comes.

Instead, we overthink.

We second guess ourselves.

We wonder what everyone else would do.

The more we ignore our own voice...

The harder it becomes to hear it.


Learning to Listen Again

Your inner voice isn't gone.

It's just been drowned out by fear.

Learning to trust yourself doesn't mean you'll always get it right.

It means you stop abandoning yourself every time uncertainty shows up.

Every time you pause before asking someone else...

Every time you check in with yourself first...

You're strengthening that relationship.

Little by little, self trust grows.

And from self trust...

Confidence begins to follow.


One Small Step Today

The next time you're about to ask someone else what they think...

Pause.

Ask yourself one question first.

"What feels true for me?"

You don't have to change your life today.

Just practice listening.

The more often you hear your own voice...

The easier it becomes to trust it.
